Sinners provides a decent amount of enjoyment. While it didn’t completely blow me away, I can certainly say it's a strong film. The presentation is striking, featuring noteworthy music and visuals, and the actors deliver commendable performances across the board. The rhythm feels well-managed as well. Michael B. Jordan is engaging, as he typically is; I appreciate watching him in roles. He handles the double role effectively, although the 'split screen' technique didn’t quite convince me – my mind still struggles to accept it as a smooth effect, regardless of how they depict the same actor twice in any film. Jack O'Connell distinguishes himself behind Jordan, especially during his musical sequences. Hailee Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku also caught my attention, and that goes for Delroy Lindo, Li Jun Li, and Omar Miller too; I strangely always associate the latter with 'American Pie Presents: Band Camp' (I apologize, Omar). I do feel like the marketing materials showed a bit too much. I usually avoid them, so hopefully I missed most of it, but even so, I recall seeing certain scenes that don’t appear until the darker portion of the story. It isn’t a significant issue, as trailers are meant to entice audiences after all.
