I’m really into zombie films; I make an effort to see as many as possible, and it doesn’t bother me if they have performers I haven’t seen before. However, because of that, I am frequently let down. But *Silent Zone* was a welcome find. I went in anticipating another cheaply made film with exciting action sequences, graphic zombies, almost no story, and predictable characters. What I received was something that combines horror and action with real dramatic elements. The people involved are complex, and there were some plot developments that truly took me by surprise (I won’t say what they are!). It does move at a deliberate pace at times, but it creates excellent suspense and provides impactful emotional beats alongside the fighting. If you enjoy zombie movies, I would suggest checking out *Silent Zone*.
