I managed to get through the full 1 hour 40 runtime, but I spent most of the time wondering about the quality of the writing and dialogue. It all made more sense once I looked into who wrote and directed it and realized their background was in casting. It wasn't a terrible debut effort, really, but it felt incredibly predictable. It seemed to be trying too hard to come across as charming and clever, without actually succeeding. I regret watching it, even though it was good to see the actor who played the Reverend in Deadwood again, and the lead actress wasn’t bad.
