A law enforcement officer from the United States is dispatched to look into a vanished individual at a remote psychiatric institution known as The Shutter Island. What he discovers will make him doubt himself and his sense of who he is. It's an intensely focused narrative that demands your full attention throughout. The story’s construction is filled with contradictions, which I found thoroughly engaging. This film presents something quite different, and the background music really enhances the feeling of suspense. Without question, it’s another brilliant work from Scorsese. It absolutely deserves to be seen.
