It was a spur-of-the-moment decision. We hadn’t checked the showtimes beforehand, and I just threw on whatever clothes were handy – a t-shirt and shorts. All I wanted was a mango shake, but then we impulsively decided to head over to Eastwood to see what was playing. Our original plan was to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but since Shutter Island was also showing, we went with that instead. Wearing my casual clothes turned out to be unfortunate because I ran into two people from AC. Ugh! It’s always the way: when I make an effort to dress up, I don't bump into anyone familiar, but as soon as I'm in comfy clothes and looking a bit disheveled, everyone seems to appear and start saying hello. Definitely need to remember to put more effort into my appearance. I really enjoyed it. Seeing Leonardo on screen is always a plus. The story’s twists were well done; even though you get little clues along the way, you find yourself thinking, "I'll just wait and see what's really going on." Then the twist hits, and you think, “I totally saw that coming.” But it still didn’t stop me from liking the film. I was seriously envious of the actress who played his daughter. A first kiss with Leonardo DiCaprio? Seriously! I would gladly switch places with her. As for Michelle Williams, I'm not a huge fan, and after watching this movie and also feeling jealous of her because of how she sat on Leo’s lap, I can safely say I dislike her even more. Haha. Leonardo is fantastic as always; it’s incredible how talented he is and the fact that he hasn’t won an Oscar yet is baffling. It's only a matter of time before he does. He will win eventually. And that flashback scene? He looked amazing! So good! I give this movie an A. I loved the story, and I love the actor.
