Gabriel, played by Mehmet Kurtulus, previously engaged in minor crimes alongside Bobby (Aleksandar Jovanovic) and Costa (Adam Bousdoukos). Following his release from prison, he expresses a desire to start a boat chartering business, which his friends initially dismiss as a joke. When Bobby becomes entangled with dangerous Albanian figures, putting everyone at risk, Gabriel is forced to reconsider his intentions. While I felt that the aimless Costa was central to how the story unfolded, all three male characters portrayed their relationships and tested their loyalties in a believable way. This includes their interactions with the women in their lives, particularly Alice (Regula Grauwiller), as they confront the ruthless Muhamer (Ralph Herforth) while Bobby’s involvement escalates. The setting of Hamburg contributes to an authentic feel, alongside realistic depictions of religion and race that both highlight and challenge the dynamic between the Turkish, Greek, and Serbian characters. It contains violence, but it isn't excessive; instead, it emphasizes the psychological aspects of criminal activity mixed with a familiar romantic subplot. Overall, as far as crime stories go, this one is quite impactful.
