It's difficult to watch this film without feeling deeply affected. I have to admit that I hadn’t truly grasped the scope or significance of the Holocaust until seeing this nine-hour documentary. Perhaps my understanding remains incomplete, but watching it certainly brought me closer to a greater awareness. This feels like an invaluable historical record, providing undeniable evidence of what occurred during World War II, making any denial impossible. It seems fitting that every high school worldwide should incorporate it into their curriculum. The effort involved in creating this documentary is immense. While I occasionally questioned some of Lanzmann’s seemingly simple inquiries, I suspect his intention was to ensure viewers understood all facets of the events—both the remarkable and the commonplace aspects of what occurred. If you're prepared to confront the harsh reality and tragic fate of millions, then seeing this film is essential.
