While it does have moments that echo earlier Disney movies, I ended up feeling pretty good about *'Shipwrecked'*. To be honest, there’s not much that stands out as particularly special. The performers aren’t especially noteworthy, and the visuals and pacing are unremarkable. The conversations are simple, and so is the story—it seems to borrow elements from other films produced by the studio. These include *'Treasure Island'*, *'Kidnapped'*, *'In Search of the Castaways'* and *'Swiss Family Robinson'*. Apparently, Oluf Falck-Ytter’s original story draws on similar themes as those movies, so it isn't entirely unexpected. Still, I don’t really think Disney needed to revisit this territory. However, by the end, I was satisfied with what I’d seen; the brief length certainly helped. It’s uncomplicated and a bit ordinary, but ultimately watchable.
