"We're the Galverse." This particular moment stands out as my absolute favorite. The visuals present a collection of gals who are undeniably cute, strikingly fashionable, and possess distinct personalities. Even though only a handful have dialogue, numerous other appealing characters appear in quick succession, creating a feeling that the world is vast and growing. Simply observing them generates a real sense of anticipation. This presentation manages to capture all the elements that make Galverse engaging within just one episode. The progression feels well-managed, and despite its brevity, the narrative is rich and very satisfying. The concept that each Galverse has her own individual “mission” leaves you wanting to discover what happens next. It’s also important to note how impressive the voice acting is. Well-known performers lend their talents to both the central characters, Zero and D.D., as well as other roles, elevating even brief lines and complementing the animation perfectly. The high standard of the visuals and overall direction are truly apparent. The soundtrack is fantastic too! Taku Takahashi from m-flo served as music producer, and the theme song embodies the spirit of Galverse – it’s a track you really should check out. While it's used sparingly throughout the episode, it’s memorable and quite catchy. Most importantly, this story has only just started. Plans are in place for a sequel to Galverse, which I am eagerly awaiting. Given the exceptionally original characters, twenty minutes doesn't feel like nearly enough time to showcase their full appeal. Therefore, I sincerely hope they decide to continue the series.
