The film largely lived up to what the preview suggested, which is good because I really dislike it when trailers mislead you about what a movie’s actually going to be like. It's pretty much non-stop action from beginning to end. Even the brief moments of more serious scenes were well done and didn't drag on; you could tell they weren't meant to stick around for long. The majority of the runtime focuses on the girl and her father, and there’s a significant amount of violence stemming from a very brutal criminal organization. The plot isn't overly intricate, so it’s easy to follow even when you’re feeling exhausted. The trailer gives you an idea of the father’s affection for his daughter, but that gets tested throughout the film as he repeatedly puts her in danger. It was clearly something the filmmakers planned from the beginning. And finally, does it seem realistic? That's a standard I often apply. The criminal group’s motivations felt somewhat far-fetched, though I don’t have enough knowledge about those kinds of gangs or their area to say for sure. So, overall, yes, it holds up. 8/10
