In contrast to "Sharknado 2," which seemed improvised, this installment features a well-defined narrative developed by people who clearly let their creativity run wild. It's ridiculously silly and deliberately goofy, with intentionally cheap special effects; the jokes are genuinely clever, and the humor—surprisingly free of juvenile bathroom antics—is delightfully corny in exactly the way it should be.
