It’s true that this movie is held in high regard by many critics and people who really love movies, however, I found it incredibly boring—really, exceptionally so. I have to say, Fassbender seems like one of the most hyped-up performers we've seen lately. He certainly has a memorable appearance, and his gaze can be quite striking; I’ll acknowledge that. And he’s physically well-equipped (as demonstrated repeatedly throughout this film), but beyond those things, his acting is rather average.
