The performers manage to make it just barely tolerable, but *'Shake It All About'* struggles with pretty much everything else. Mads Mikkelsen, Troels Lyby and Charlotte Munck are the strongest parts of the cast; I really can’t criticize their acting – they all do a perfectly acceptable job. The problem lies in the narrative and how it was presented; that's what makes this 2001 film disappointing. The story itself is rather weak (and even raises some concerns), and any efforts to make it more interesting just don't work out. Viewers in Denmark, the United States, and a few other countries can apparently access this movie, according to *JustWatch*, but here in the UK it’s not officially available (unless you want to pay £28.98 for the DVD on Amazon 🥴)... which is probably a good thing.
