Omar Sy was excellent in The Intouchables, which came out in 2011; however, "Shadow Force" fails to capitalize on his abilities as an actor. It's a low-quality action movie and that’s obvious throughout. The fight sequences and gunplay are badly done and lack energy, the plot is uninspired and unbelievable, and the characters aren't interesting or memorable. Sy manages to be charming and captivating as always, but even his good performance can't save this film. Basically, it’s a talented performer appearing in an unremarkable action movie.
