The initial concept held some appeal, though the humor felt repetitive after about thirty minutes. "Tommy" (Jake Johnson) receives an invitation to a clandestine gathering where two individuals present him with the possibility of winning $1 million—provided he can endure a perilous game lasting one month. To claim the reward, his survival depends on evading numerous pursuers attempting to eliminate him. His safety isn't assured by any sanctuary, but rather by remaining near another person; ordinary people serve as his protection. He initially believes he can depend on his family, only to discover they question his sanity, making a thirty-day confinement with loved ones impossible. Consequently, he must venture out and forge connections with others. This inevitably brings about new situations and places considerable strain upon someone who isn't particularly well-prepared—for anything at all. The story explores the lengths people might go to for a transformative amount of money. However, I found Johnson’s performance overly exaggerated. The comedic elements were too blatant, and his acting seemed excessive as events began to repeat themselves. There was a distinct lack of suspense, which may have been compounded by my unfamiliarity with Andy Samberg. It functions adequately as entertainment if you appreciate straightforward and boisterous comedy; otherwise, it's rapidly paced but ultimately unremarkable.
