"See No Evil, Hear No Evil" proves to be a genuinely amusing movie, offering an ideal showcase for the comedic partnership of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder. The film builds on a simple premise – Pryor’s character is blind and Wilder's is deaf – and then puts them into one ridiculous scenario after another, situations that feel believable only because of their performances. It delivers plenty of real laughs while also presenting a hopeful perspective regarding disability. As David Lyons, played by Wilder, points out, they are hardly the ideal individuals for the task at hand; however, rather than discouraging them, this challenge motivates them to keep going.
