See How They Run struggles to find its footing throughout most of its length, though the last twenty minutes are quite good. It isn’t a bad movie in general, just not something I’d watch again. The film felt slow for roughly the first hour, but it became more engaging and enjoyable toward the end. Saoirse Ronan's acting added some appeal to what was otherwise an uninspired story. There were subtle jokes and wordplay sprinkled throughout that might elicit a smile if you notice them, but ultimately this over-the-top mystery didn’t manage to be funny. While most of it left me wanting, the film’s conclusion proved enjoyable with humorous moments, surprising plot developments, and even an acknowledgment of the audience. I wish the entire movie had matched the quality of the ending. However, that meant sitting through a sluggish first ninety minutes before getting to its satisfying conclusion. I can't really suggest seeing it, but I also wouldn’t call it awful.
