Bill, you missed the mark this time. The usual things Bill does just didn't work out well here. I’m not sure what went wrong; perhaps he simply wasn’t interested in being in this film. Regardless, his performance felt exaggerated throughout every scene, regardless of whether it was meant to be funny or serious. There was only a single moment near the end where I could see him demonstrating his true talent. And that one scene was really the only part of the movie that captured any Christmas feeling—something that should definitely be in every holiday film. The Ghosts of the Past and Present were decent. But what about the FUTURE? It would be terrifying to be in his position, seeing your own death displayed like that. That future sequence felt cheap; it’s impossible not to reconsider everything they're asking after witnessing something like that. He’d do just about anything at that point—even bite his nails or eat a worm. It’s okay enough to watch once, but I don’t think I’ll be revisiting this one. Rate: 7
