It’s an acceptable entry within the series, featuring some enjoyable deaths and performances that were at least adequate; it was also pleasant to see familiar faces from earlier installments. While I felt the killer's reasons seemed dated—a perception perhaps influenced by my limited engagement with online platforms—it did evoke a sense of similarity to the social critique present in *Scream 4*. Placing it within the franchise’s lineup, I would position it third, following the initial film and *Scream 2*, despite that latter movie's shortcomings which still hold some appeal for me.
