I was really looking forward to this film after seeing *Scream* (2022), and it lived up to the excitement. The new directors, Bettinnelli-Olpin and Gillett, have done a terrific job continuing the series. This installment elevates both the character arcs and the narrative itself, exceeding my expectations for their second time at the helm. The four young protagonists experience significant growth as they deal with the repercussions of the previous film’s events and the attention that came with them. The strong bonds between these characters remind me a lot of Sidney, Dewey, and Gale, which makes you really root for their survival. The intensity of the danger, the killings, and the gore have all been amplified; what's new is that even the main characters could be Ghostface. I found myself questioning everyone while also genuinely invested in their well-being—that’s a sign of excellent writing! It was great to see another familiar face return with Kirby Reed’s appearance. While I thoroughly enjoyed it, I did feel the absence of Dewey and Sidney. The reveal of the killer felt a bit much for me, which is why the original *Scream* (1996) and *Scream* (2022) remain my favorites. However, those are very small issues! *Scream VI* stands out as another wonderful addition to the franchise, and I’m hoping there will be more in the future.
