Okay, so people are supposed to dislike this film because of boycotts stemming from… reasons that don’t really hold up, but that seems to be how things work these days: if something isn't considered "woke," it gets review bombed. And honestly, there’s some justification for the criticism; it's not significantly better than *Scream 3*, though it fares better than *Scream VI*, which was just another political sermon disguised as a movie. The absence of politics in this installment is likely what triggered the backlash and the boycott. The quality being comparable to *Scream 3* is noteworthy because that film was awful when it initially released.
