The story follows two longtime companions whose trip becomes an unforgiving fight for their lives and a confrontation with what came before. One has managed to attain the things society values but finds himself wanting in his private life, whereas the other seems to have accomplished very little. He harbors resentment toward his more prosperous friend, viewing him as someone who gave up on his musical aspirations for a secure existence alongside a partner who didn't support his ambitions. Finding themselves isolated within an unforgiving desert landscape, they are compelled to finally face off against one another.
