It’s a genuinely enjoyable film I would happily watch again and feel comfortable suggesting to others. The story presents an inventive take on the familiar alien invasion storyline, interwoven with elements of existential discovery. I believe its primary flaw lies in its focus on Brooklyn hipsters—the humor feels forced and pulls attention away from what's happening. The decision to use a "relationship repair" road trip as a setup felt like a smart move, and the performances were solid; however, it’s the unusual alien creatures that truly distinguish this movie. I was eager to see a film featuring aliens that weren't human-like, and this one delivered exactly what I wanted.
