While I found San Andreas enjoyable enough, I have to say the plot didn't really grab me. My issue stems from how the story unfolds; it felt repetitive and centered too much on personal concerns. There are numerous casualties depicted throughout the film, yet Ray and Emma’s narrative seems solely devoted to saving their daughter, Blake. Although Ray does act in a rescue capacity, the movie ultimately misses an opportunity to effectively convey a sense of compassion or concern for others.
