This latest offering from Donnie Yen proves to be uneven. The fight sequences and martial arts are enjoyable, but the film as a whole lacks excitement and doesn't make much sense. It has the feel of numerous television episodes edited together into a two-hour collection of disconnected moments. The sheer volume of pointless material ultimately detracts from the worthwhile action set pieces, which is regrettable.
