This was a tedious experience, and also strange. There’s a tenuous link to *‘The Graduate’* (I haven’t gotten around to experiencing it yet, just so you know), but the filmmakers didn't develop that idea very far. Even though the running time is only 90 minutes, it felt slow-moving. I really don’t believe there’s enough substance here to justify its existence. Jennifer Aniston is pleasant enough to keep things from completely stalling out, at least. Kevin Costner, Mark Ruffalo, Richard Jenkins and Shirley MacLaine are in the cast with Aniston, which makes the list of actors look impressive. To be honest, they're really this movie’s only saving grace. The rest of *‘Rumor Has It…’* is either uninspired or peculiar, frequently both.
