I got this movie because I was in the mood for something with Lou Diamond Phillips. It’s not great, though it turned out to be less disappointing than I anticipated. The tone reminded me of _Masters of Horror_; if you approach it with that kind of expectation, it won't elevate _Route 666_ into a good film, but there are circumstances where that style can work. There were elements that resonated with my tastes, but ultimately the final result was subpar. Final rating: ★★
