It's really difficult to portray an Australian accent convincingly, and when it’s done poorly, it can be incredibly frustrating. There are straightforward ways to avoid this problem. First off, if the character doesn't need to be from Australia, then don't make them Australian in the first place. Secondly, why not just cast a real Australian? There are plenty available in Hollywood! Or, you could find one of the few actors who can genuinely pull it off, beyond those two easy choices. Kate McKinnon isn’t among that small group of skilled performers. ...And also, _Rough Night_ wasn't particularly enjoyable. _Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible._
