It's surprising, really, because you'd think a witch would be accustomed to the wind by now, but she isn't – she keeps having things snatched away from her, forcing her to pause and search for them each time. Initially, it’s her hat that goes missing, which is when she picks up a dog who hitches a ride on the broom along with her cat. Then she misplaces her bow, and soon enough she's gathered a frog and a green bird as well. Things get even more precarious when they run into a hungry dragon determined to have witch for dinner. Will she make it through? The story brought to mind “chicken Licken, hen Len,” because this initially cautious bunch ends up becoming friends thanks to the kind person wearing the pointy black hat. The animation uses amusing facial expressions and some appealing, chocolate-like textures, accompanied by a lively musical score that keeps things moving along for an enjoyable twenty minutes. It’s a well-made piece that prioritizes storytelling and playful character designs, proving that sometimes simplicity is best in this kind of film.
