I’m surprised I hadn’t encountered Ronin until recently. It's hard to believe I haven't at least heard someone mention it over the years, especially considering the actors involved and the kind of story it tells—it seemed exactly like something I would enjoy, and thankfully, my expectations were met. The film is really impressive from a visual standpoint; the cinematography is superb, and the action sequences are remarkable. Even small details, such as the font used for the opening credits, which has an older movie feel, contribute to its appeal. The musical score is another strong element among many positive aspects. With Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, Natascha McElhone, Stellan Skarsgård, Sean Bean, Jonathan Pryce, and Michael Lonsdale in the cast, this 1998 film boasts an incredible lineup of performers. De Niro stands out as particularly compelling, although Reno and McElhone also deliver noteworthy performances. I will admit that the ending wasn't quite as thrilling as I expected, which was unexpected. It’s not a letdown by any means—I still found it enjoyable—but it did feel like the momentum slowed down noticeably. Still, it isn't really a significant problem.
