Jithu Madhavan’s first film provides an uproarious and genuinely funny experience. Romancham is a very funny horror comedy that defies categorization through its clever, natural humor. The movie takes roughly twenty to twenty-five minutes for the comedic elements to fully emerge, but once they do, it offers plenty of entertainment. Jithu Madhavan’s directorial debut is wonderful and deserving of praise. The scary parts aren't standard jump scares; instead, a creepy atmosphere and impressive acting effectively create suspense. The film succeeds thanks to Sushin Shyam’s excellent music, which propels the entire story forward, along with strong performances from everyone involved and a cleverly crafted narrative that keeps you engaged and guessing. Soubin Shahir and Arjun Ashokan stand out with their unique portrayals, adding greatly to the humor of each scene they're in. If you enjoy original films that are deeply connected to culture and reimagine the horror-comedy genre, then this is one not to be missed. It delivers unfiltered craziness that will lift your spirits while also leaving a lingering sense of unease. The story, reportedly inspired by actual events involving seven bachelors in 2007, adds another layer of unsettling feeling.
