Role Play doesn’t quite live up to what it could be, missing opportunities for humor. The movie has the foundation for some amusing moments, but the writing doesn't generate any genuine laughs. Instead, viewers are presented with an action film that relies heavily on explaining things, featuring a character who is an assassin and has a backstory we’ve seen many times before.
