The film "Role Play" adheres to standard conventions, presenting both positive and negative aspects. The central performances, especially Kaley Cuoco's work, give energy to the characters; however, many of the other actors are hampered by lackluster lines. Although the story is conventional and easy to anticipate, it moves along at a brisk speed, which helps keep viewers engaged. Certain shortcomings arise, but these are somewhat balanced by the director’s intention to create an enjoyable, amusing film designed to entertain families in a relaxed way. Rating: B-
