It felt so cheesy at first that I almost stopped watching, especially considering how many awards and nominations—close to eighty—it has accumulated. However, I started to understand that some of it was intended as a joke, and I let myself enjoy the absurdity of the initial storyline. Ultimately, this is an incredible romantic movie. The musical numbers and dancing are truly outstanding. Ranbir Kapoor’s character undergoes significant growth throughout the film's considerable length. And Nargis Fakhri is both lovely and impressive in her part. It was absolutely worth investing nearly three hours to watch!
