Those who are deeply devoted to "Star Wars" might find this close to disrespectful because it makes jokes about the people and events from nearly all of the nine films. It doesn't hold back, referencing everything from the Millennium Falcon to Admiral Akbar’s breakfast cereal. The cantina band does a great job, the Emperor is as commanding as he can be – assuming construction allows it – and Jar Jar Binks demonstrates that his ability to frustrate viewers seems limitless. There's a section about George W. Bush that didn't quite land, but apart from that, this is a consistently cheeky and entertaining set of spoofs covering everything from a galaxy that isn’t “far enough away.” The stop motion animation has the feel of bringing my childhood toys to life, and it moves quickly for twenty minutes, delivering insults that, at least in my opinion, led up to a scene involving Leia and Luke that was just wrong. It's genuinely amusing.
