It’s amazing to think back to 1987 and all the good movies that came out. Among them is Paul Verhoeven's _RoboCop_, a truly remarkable achievement in terms of practical effects. I want to be clear: my appreciation for this film isn’t based on any fondness for older films. In fact, it was 2013—well into my twenties—when I first saw _RoboCop_. It stands out as an excellent representation of its time, and also simply holds up as a great movie in its own right. _Final rating:★★★★ - Very strong appeal. A personal favourite._
