Have you noticed that one video game everyone seems obsessed with? It’s something like Assassins Creed, I think. Well, this movie feels very much like that kind of game. Robin Hood has been translated into a video game format. The film's aesthetic resembles a video game, and that actually detracts from it considerably. It’s like observing an inexperienced person playing a game without the personal involvement you get when you play yourself. They escalate things further by injecting so much contemporary progressive ideology that they nearly lose sight of Robin Hood’s original purpose: taking from those with wealth to aid the less fortunate, in their attempt to update the story's political themes. It's simply a jumble of dialogue and action sequences lifted straight from a video game. I suggest avoiding it entirely.
