It’s disappointing to see such a costly production fall short in revisiting a story that has been presented numerous times. Following several attempts, I've viewed this film twice over the last year. The reason wasn’t because I found it pleasant or wanted another viewing; instead, it felt as though I had already seen it once before. It’s possible my mind simply erased the experience due to how unpleasant it was. The one line that stood out occurred when Marian realized Robin's identity. "You call that a disguise!?", Miriam questioned, referencing his hood, which has become recognized as representing his thievery. Robin responded with: "Well, it fooled everybody else!" I’m tempted to ask “Do you consider this enjoyable?”, but I don’t want to hear the answer. I'm reluctant to elaborate on specifics about this film; thinking about it is difficult. This review mainly serves as a warning to myself so that I won’t make the mistake of watching it again.
