I saw this film at Fantasia 2019. Riding a Wave with You tells a heartfelt story about the way people experience life, and uses visual imagery effectively. Because I’ve watched so much anime, I find it difficult to get into new series these days; the familiar writing styles have become tiresome. However, Riding a Wave with You manages to avoid those common pitfalls, presenting a unique narrative that feels separate from current trends in mainstream animation. It's worth seeing if you have the opportunity, and I definitely suggest checking it out!
