This is an enjoyable film that I’d probably watch again, and I would suggest it to others. I realize zombies are a well-worn concept by now, but they've always appealed to me, and while the "Resident Evil" series isn’t generally taken seriously, the initial movie showed some potential, even though its connection to the video game is minimal. Regardless of anything else, Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez are talented performers who elevate the film considerably; I believe the entire cast performs admirably. I appreciate movies that offer something different, and this one felt distinctive when it was released. It’s particularly known for a specific death scene. If you're a fan of zombie stories, I think you'll find this one appealing, as there's an underlying theme about a corrupt organization present throughout the narrative. The movie effectively builds tension gradually, albeit in a somewhat silly manner.
