I had concerns about this movie because some previews suggested the editing was too chaotic, and my experience turned out to be complicated. The first third felt jarring; there were an excessive number of cuts during the action sequences, which I didn't enjoy. However, that issue disappeared later on, so while it starts off with a chaotic feel, the middle and end are more enjoyable and conventional. (P.S. Despite the shaky camera work early on, there’s at least one genuinely frightening scene!) The film attempted to resolve all the lingering plot threads of the series, but didn't quite manage it. It was nice to see Claire Redfield again—she looks good, as always—but her screen time is limited, and she doesn't mention K-Mart or her brother, Chris Redfield. My biggest disappointment came with the anticlimactic death of the main villain, Wesker. I won’t reveal how it happens, but it felt contrived – essentially a plot device pulled out of thin air. It seemed like they couldn’t figure out a fair way to defeat Wesker! Ultimately, Alice's final confrontation was against Dr. Isaacs, and then his clone as well. I have mixed feelings about this film; it tried to provide closure for the franchise and succeeded in some ways, but also fell short in others. The 3D wasn’t very good compared to the previous installments—I recently learned they filmed this one in 2D and converted it to 3D later, unlike *Resident Evil 4* and *Resident Evil 5*, which were actually filmed in 3D; you can definitely tell the difference. They also completely ignored what happened in Washington D.C., from the previous film. There’s a single line referencing this—essentially stating that Wesker betrayed Alice and didn't fully restore her T-Virus abilities. As a fan, I found this brief mention very unsatisfying for the final chapter. I don’t want people to think I dislike the *Resident Evil* series, but I felt the film was overly dark, and the 3D was just okay (not as impressive as before). Still, it did offer some resolution and explored ideas like Alice clones. The biggest problem is the plot of the final scene: an airborne virus that supposedly takes years to work manages to instantly kill hundreds of thousands of zombies—it’s too convenient and unbelievable, even for a fan like me. I have to say, it was pretty bad. == EPILOGUE == This film attempts to wrap up the *Resident Evil* franchise, with some degree of success. However, the simulated 3D is inferior to the genuine 3D in the previous films. The scares are better than they’ve been in the last few movies, but is that enough?
