I haven’t seen this movie again until recently; my previous time was when I got it on DVD, and it's not something I anticipate revisiting quickly. Nevertheless, it remains a powerful drama distinguished by truly remarkable performances, especially Ellen Burstyn’s, which certainly justified her Academy Award recognition. The film includes some intense and unusual scenes alongside shifts in mood, seemingly aiming to show the extremes of drug addiction. It isn't enjoyable in the traditional sense, but rather a captivating work that is worthwhile for its striking imagery and acting. **4.5/5**
