The film "Renfield" delivers exactly what it sets out to do – a knowingly absurd narrative centered on the complicated dynamic between Dracula and his servant Renfield. Nicolas Cage’s over-the-top performance, alongside Nicholas Hoult's solid portrayal, is as anticipated. The tone remains consistently humorous, allowing for action set pieces that are deliberately exaggerated in their presentation. This approach leads to uneven entertainment value because of the frequent use of rapid editing and a large quantity of blood. The stunt performers’ efforts were worthy of greater recognition and more time on screen. Nevertheless, those who appreciate Nicolas Cage's work will likely find it satisfying. Rating: B-
