I can’t say I'd ever watched a Lithuanian movie before this one. It was made with British collaborators, and it’s in English, but much of the filming took place in Lithuania, so there's quite a bit of dialogue in local languages and other Eastern European tongues. The actors were fantastic, coming from both countries, and the cinematography was really impressive. The film moved along well, telling a straightforward story without any dull moments. It genuinely caught me off guard. I’d heard it received varied opinions, so I wasn't initially sure whether to watch it. Still, I decided to give it a chance, and now I think it’s worth recommending. It's essentially a road movie with a gangster storyline, focusing on the conflict between two groups from different countries. The plot kicks off when some friends plan to steal from a criminal organization and escape the country, but their flight ends up rerouting them to Eastern Europe, which sets off a series of unexpected events. It reminded me a bit of 'Lost in Thailand'. I really enjoyed watching it. Sometimes a film doesn't need a complex plot; the performances can carry it, and that’s what made this one appealing. It’s not something I would watch repeatedly, but you’re pretty much guaranteed entertainment for at least a couple of viewings. A follow-up movie could be interesting, and I’d certainly want to see it. 7/10
