I’m really not sure what I just experienced, to tell the truth. But did I find it completely enjoyable? Without a doubt! That feeling likely stems from the excellent group of actors involved, more than anything else. Cillian Murphy delivers an exceptional performance as Tom; I truly appreciated his work. It's expected, considering his previous roles—he’s consistently engaging to watch. He isn't the only strong performer in 'Red Lights' though, with Sigourney Weaver (Margaret) and Robert De Niro (Simon) also providing noteworthy contributions that enhance the film considerably. Elizabeth Olsen (Holly) and Toby Jones (Paul) are part of the cast as well. The casting was superb! However, the central idea—or at least how it’s presented—isn't quite as strong as it could be. I still found it very entertaining, but that might be because the film creates a sense of excitement and builds suspense effectively. But when you consider it afterward, the plot isn't as wild as it initially seems – or so it appears to me. A bit more attention to developing the characters would have been welcome. Still, the movie succeeded in keeping me engaged and captivated by what was unfolding. It’s hard to find fault with it because of that, honestly. I’ll let others analyze it further, but all I can say is I came very close to loving it.
