It’s possible that this is the sole positive contribution Brett Ratner has made, not just in his filmography, but to anything he's ever touched. It doesn’t quite match the quality of the novel or even reach the heights of _Silence of the Lambs_—though it took me some time to realize that comparison—but I find myself returning to it fairly often and haven’t tired of it yet. Final rating:★★★½ - I really liked it. I would definitely suggest you watch it.
