‘Ready or Not’ falls short of delivering the humor expected given its outlandish premise, and it doesn't quite reach the level of darkness needed to be considered a genuine horror film. Instead, what you get is a presentation of gore and violence punctuated by infrequent startling moments and scenes designed to create unease. While it may not fully satisfy hopes or wishes, it remains an enjoyable, exciting, and delightfully twisted experience as it unfolds within the blood-drenched mansion and goat barn. Get ready for sounds of fright, expressions of pleasure, displays of national pride, and the occasional bewildered “WTF!”... because it's about to begin!
