While Pollack’s direction wasn’t at its peak during the late nineties, his acting in this film is quite strong. The movie begins with a promising first twenty or thirty minutes, but then it descends into monotony and remains that way throughout. It's disappointing because the underlying idea is worthwhile, and it might have developed into an excellent romantic story if handled differently. I also can’t help but wonder why Ford has a piercing in this film. The rating is 2 out of 5.
