The film 'Radioactive' struggles to define itself, seeming unsure whether it should be a biographical account, a historical piece, or an examination of women’s experiences within traditionally masculine areas – and though those elements could potentially coexist, the screenplay proves too weak to manage them effectively. The result is another poorly executed biopic destined to languish in Amazon Prime's collection, which feels entirely appropriate. A figure as significant as this woman in science—and Rosamund Pike’s performance—certainly warrants something considerably more substantial.
