It had the potential to be a good short film, but as it is now, I wouldn’t recommend seeking out _Project Ithaca_. Eighty-some minutes isn't an especially long movie, yet it felt longer than it needed to be. There were a couple of aspects that did grab my attention—the way it approached the concept behind _Monsters, Inc._ with aliens, and the practical effects. However, even those elements weren’t executed or developed sufficiently to make _Ithaca_ worthwhile. _Final rating:★★ - It had some things I liked, but ultimately didn't work out well._
